The aim of this module unit is to equip you with scientific knowledge of the nature and composition of foods and their utilization in the human body

In addition, you will be expected to acquire knowledge and skills in dietary management of patients with various diseases

Objectives

By the end of this module unit, you should be able to:

a) Understand nutrition and diet therapy as they relate to the human body

b) Apply nutrition and diet therapy in selection of foods to meet different nutritional needs of groups and individuals

c) Apply dietetic knowledge and skills in dietary management of patients with specific diseases
